Performance 34: Planes, Trains, & Automobiles

The Northampton Arts Council has been producing a fantastic music odyssey yearly at Pines Theater in Look Park for the past 34 years! LookStock, a music festival that started 34 years ago, is back again this year, masquerading as Performance 34: Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. Performance (formerly known as Transperformance) is a singular experience in Western Massachusetts where our favorite local musicians take on the personas of their favorite music artists that fit within our chosen theme. Join us as we celebrate the arts and raise money for arts enrichment programs in the Northampton Public School system along with the Parent Teacher Organizations (P.T.O.s)

Get ready to rock out for a great cause on Tuesday, August 20th, as we celebrate our many modes of movement and the carriers of cargo by land, sky, and sea at Performance 34: Planes, Trains, and Automobiles! Our talented local performers will be embodying a diverse range of famous artists, including Led Zeppelin, The Cars, John Coltrane, Joan Jett, U2, and Jefferson Airplane!

Calling all local musicians! We invite you to share your talent and passion with us at Performance 34: Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. Email us your ideas about which artist or band you would like to perform to arts@northamptonma.gov. Your multiple choices are always welcome and appreciated. The lineup, featuring your performances, will be announced in July. Help us spread the word throughout the music community. We are always excited to discover new performers!

The performers this year are to be announced in July.
