Salsa in the Plaza

This summer, don't miss the unique opportunity to learn new dance moves with McCoy Jamison, the renowned instructor from Latin Dance Made Easy. Every Monday night, starting June 3, 2024, and continuing until August 26, 2024, McCoy will be offering free salsa, bachata, and merengue dance lessons from 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Following the lessons, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., you can showcase your new moves at the Latin Dance Party curated by McCoy. This isn't just a dance party. It's a chance to learn, have fun, and meet new people, all for free!

The dates of Salsa in the Plaza are Monday, June 3, 10, 17, 24; July 1, 8, 15, 22, 29; and August 5, 12, 19, 26.

McCoy Jamison, the internationally trained teacher, dancer, and choreographer, is the driving force behind Latin Dance Made Easy. As the founder, he offers online dance tutorials and hosts vibrant weekly Latin dance events that showcase a variety of styles, including Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, and Kizomba. Beyond teaching, McCoy offers expert DJ services and tailored dance lessons for various occasions, including parties, weddings, festivals, and community gatherings. Dedicated to enriching lives through dance, McCoy is eager to help you discover the joy and connection that Latin dancing brings.

The performances are weather-dependent but don't worry, we've got you covered. If the weather is questionable, we will inform the public at 10:00 a.m. on the day of the show through @nohoarts on Instagram and on the City of Northampton’s Facebook and Instagram accounts, ensuring you have all the information you need to plan your evening.
