What: Northampton Arts Council Community Input Meeting & Survey - 2024
When: Tuesday, October 8, 2024, 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Where: A.P.E. Workroom at 33 Hawley, Northampton, MA 01060
Why: Community input is essential in creating a framework for arts, culture, and community development relevant to and inclusive of the broader populations in a particular locale. While sometimes seen as a way to elicit thoughts and opinions, community input can act as a pathway to building connections and relationships among residents, artists, local businesses, cultural nonprofits, municipalities, and other civic entities, creating multiple channels of access that help support local programming and decision-making.
How: Northampton Arts Council members and staff will be available to the community for questions about the Local Cultural Council grant round and any other programs that the Northampton Arts Council is involved in. Refreshments and appetizers will be served during the open house. The Northampton Arts Council will also distribute a community input survey to obtain feedback about the community’s priorities.
