⟣Coming Soon To The Musician's Workshop⟢

In this four-part series with Glenn Weiser, who Acoustic Guitar magazine has called a “master teacher,” we will first learn the basic 12-bar blues progression in the keys most often played on guitar, and what the I, IV, and V chords are in each guitar key. After that, we will explore up-the neck chords to get a greater variety of voicings. We will learn the basics of soloing by using closed-position pentatonic minor scales, and study at the CAGED system of scale fingerings and chords to understand the musical layout of the guitar fretboard. We will also explore the theory of improvisation, and how to solo over a chord line. You can bring either an acoustic or an electric guitar, and play with a pick or with your fingers. No matter what your skill level is, there will be something new here for you to learn.
