Call for Artists - Women's History Month Exhibit at Wistariahurst Museum

It's Rachel Powell, Event Coordinator at Wistariahurst Museum! We are inviting artists to submit their work for the Third Annual Women’s History Month juried art showcase, taking place in March. This year's theme is Love, in all its diverse forms.

The theme of Love encourages artists to explore the impact of love in our lives. We are eager to discover what you love, who you love, and how you express that love through your artwork. Whether your inspiration comes from nature, your relationship with yourself and others, or your unique ways of showing love, we welcome submissions that reflect any aspect of love that inspires you. Love can take on many dimensions—painful, transformative, joyful, romantic, platonic, a feeling, an object, or a cherished memory; all forms of love are beautiful. We encourage submissions in any medium.

Submissions are open to anyone identifying as a woman and non-binary artists of all ages. Each submission should include 3-4 high-quality images along with the following details: title, date, medium, and size. Additionally, please include an artist statement (around 300 words discussing your art and its connection to the theme) and an artist bio (approximately 150 words about you as an artist) compiled in a single PDF.

We are a supportive space for artists, fostering creativity and promoting the development of local talent. Feel free to reach out with any questions. Five selected artists will receive a $100 stipend.

We would greatly appreciate it if you shared this call for artists to anyone you may know that would be interested in participating in this year's exhibit. Please submit your entries by February 7, 2025, to info@wistariahurst.org.
